Claim your profileI have had a fulfilling legal career for many years, starting in the private practice of law in 1977. After retirement from private practice, I worked as a legal aid attorney on cases involving children for seven years. On March 13, 2014, I was appointed by the Governor of Kentucky as Circuit Judge for Family Court in Bowling Green to serve out the unexpired term of the late Margaret Huddleston. Starting in January 2015, began serving as Special Judge in a few cases and handling mediations.I am also fascinated by the Kentucky Derby and Thoroughbred racing, Goals with The Downey Profile are to educate and entertain in the Thoroughbred racing business with a focus on the runup to the Kentucky Derby and the Triple Crown, the annual meet at Kentucky Downs and other events.I am an active member of the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters, serving as Treasurer and website administrator.
