As a general assignment reporter at the Saratogian and Troy Record newspapers, Emma drives impactful storytelling across the diverse news landscape of the Capital Region of New York. Covering a wealth of topics ranging from Politics, Entertainment, Business and more, Emma has fully immersed herself in her community and has a passion for thorough and honest reporting.Her journalistic journey, rooted in a vibrant blend of experiences, began at High Point University, where Emma graduated with a B.A. in Journalism complemented by a Minor in Pop Culture and Media Production in May 2023. During her tenure at HPU, she thrived in multifaceted leadership roles, including serving as President, and a variety of other roles, of her sorority, the Gamma Zeta chapter of Phi Mu, and leading HPU's chapter of The Society of Professional Journalists for two years. Her involved campus presence extended to hosting, producing, and writing for her own radio show her freshman year, Frosh Off The Presses, serving as a peer mentor, and holding multiple on campus jobs honing both her communication skills and leadership finesse.These positions included operating as the head copywriter and a founding member for HYPE Advertising Services, content writer and editor at Hi-Po Magazine and, what cemented Emma's love for print journalism, working as the Arts & Entertainment editor for the Campus Chronicle, HPU's newspaper.Passionate about weaving compelling stories, Emma's journey embodies a relentless pursuit of journalistic excellence, marrying multiple mediums with impactful storytelling to captivate audiences and drive meaningful conversations.
