Claim your profileAn eight-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, Eric Henrikson specializes in simplifying complex topics and transforming visually mundane stories into compelling narratives through high-level editing and animation. Since joining KXAN in 2016, Eric has contributed to major investigative projects like Outlaw, Dried Up: The West’s Growing Water Crisis, and Locked in Limbo. He co-created the Emmy-winning First Warning Weather University series and directed acclaimed documentaries like The First Forecast, The Last F5, and The Wake: Secrets of Lake Travis. Eric has earned eight Lonestar Emmys, two National Edward R. Murrow Awards, and multiple SPJ and Scripps Howard nominations. As KXAN’s Weather Producer, he helps lead a six-person weather team and produces CW Austin Morning. Outside of work, Eric enjoys movies with his husband Steven, hiking Central Texas trails, gaming, and spending time with his three dogs—Penny, Molly, and Brodie.
