Periodista venezolana dedicada a la investigación en los últimos 5 años, con énfasis en el área política (diplomacia, relaciones EEUU-Amlat, proceso político venezolano), económica (energía eléctrica y empresas) y ambiental (minería y contaminación ambiental). He organizado investigaciones, liderado equipos de periodistas para el abordaje y publicación de temas, y trabajado para la documentación de libros. He desarrollado contenidos multimedia para piezas de investigación en la web y elaborado trabajos de periodismo de data. Trabajos individuales y de co-autoría han sido premiados por el Instituto Prensa y Sociedad (Perú y Venezuela) y la Sociedad Interamericana de Prensa, así como resultado finalista en el premio Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano Gabriel García Márquez.I'm a Venezuelan journalist with 23 years of experience, since 2010 dedicated to investigative journalism, mostly in the political and economic areas. I have covered US-Venezuelan relations and Inter-American affairs (OAS, Democracy and Human Rights issues) for the newspaper El Nacional as a junior and senior writer. Most recenty, as Investigative Unit Coordinator. With only three members in the team, we wrote groundbreaking stories on electoral violence and corruption, the state of the cancer treatment health system, the power outages of the electrical national grid and the outcome of the nationalizations in the agricultural sector. Previously, my work experience had led me to contribute as a freelance journalist with the UNDP and the UNHCR, work as a researcher for a book (Hugo Chávez biography: Chávez sin uniforme, Random House, 2006) and write for political news magazines and newspapers, including the Mexican newspaper Reforma, as a correspondent in Caracas.
