I love telling stories. Even after 20 plus years, the job still feels new. I have filled a variety of rolls at CNN, producer/photographer/editor, director of photography, and now senior producer. Since my first day on the job, the news cycle has been relentless and there is literally no situation I have not been able to adapt to as a result of that experience. From 2003 to 2007 I worked as an embedded journalist in Iraq, writing, shooting, editing and transmitting stories and live shots from various combat operations. I’ve coordinated live shots in a Category 5 hurricane in the jungles of Central America and produced stories during the devastation of the Haiti earthquake. Whether the presidential campaign trail, the mountains of Afghanistan or the wildfires of the western US, I have thrived in fast paced and sometimes dangerous news environments. I also love the creative energy that comes from producing original video and long form projects for CNN Digital, and I have led teams on projects from ideation to publishing. I understand how to work in the digital, social media and broadcast space. I’m organized, super adaptable and while I love working with a team, I’m also fully capable of tackling projects on my own.
