REEL: www.gabriellelucivero.comHi all! My business card says "sports multimedia journalist" and that can mean a lot of things. What it means to me is being equal parts anchor, reporter, investigative journalist, videographer, writer, producer and editor. Today, that means I'm the lead sports anchor and MMJ at NBC Connecticut. When I started in this position 5+ years ago, I learned (on the job) I was joining a small sports department in need of new direction. Since then, I've taken ownership of this department, expanded our coverage and breathed new life into what it means to cover LOCAL sports. That attitude has taken me far from "local": I've reported on the Olympics from Beijing, China (went there as a one-woman-band!), followed NCAA men's and women's basketball to Seattle, Houston, Tampa and beyond and traveled across New England and New York to cover two major sports markets from Boston to NYC. I can't wait to see where it takes me next.
