One of the very first online entertainment journalists, Garth has clocked up more hours, stories and experience in this field than the entire staff of various other sites combined. Garth created and designed the very first incarnation of the popular online film destination Dark Horizons on geocities.com back in April 1996. Since then he has steered it through four major re-designs, two recessions, hundreds of interviews, thousands of screenings, and many tens of thousands of articles. Garth's experience is primarily writing in various forms such as news stories, feature articles, film reviews, interviews, set reports, and in-depth analytical pieces. He's also had years of experience in editing, research, graphic design, web design, custom CMS operation and management, analysis, planning, management, marketing, consultation, networking and social media. Garth's work, and love of travel over the past fifteen years has taken him all over the globe to places like Bangkok, Berlin, Chicago, Harare, Hong Kong, Honolulu, Istanbul, London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Prague, Rome, Singapore, Toronto, Vancouver and Venice. He has regular dealings with and/or worked alongside publicists, managers, producers, studio VPs, agents and filmmakers in the US, UK, Europe and Australia. Franklin has also contributed numerous regular columns for AOL, Empire Magazine Australia, and has served stints as a film critic on Foxtel's Channel V and ABC Radio 702.
