I graduated from Northwestern University in 2022 with my Bachelor's Degree in Journalism with a minor in Creative Writing and a Master's Degree in Magazine Journalism. My background in poetry and creative writing branched out to fashion and lifestyle content, where I now write about how they intersect with women's and Latinx issues. As an editor, I've worked on building relationships with neighboring teams to spot gaps in reporting that can be further developed with new angles and additional coverage. I've storyboarded long and short-form articles to produce content with inclusive language and perspectives while providing meticulous edits for the overall style and flow of pieces. I always aim to create a resourceful environment for journalists to feel seen within the newsroom and make audiences feel represented and heard. As a writer, I wish to share my work, whether journalistic or creative, to inspire empathy, belonging, and authenticity. I've freelanced for Vogue, Women's Wear Daily, Footwear News, and Business Insider and am looking for a full-time role for a remote, hybrid, or in-person Chicago-based position in journalism and adjacent fields such as, but not limited to, marketing, communications, and publishing. I currently do part-time editorial and social media work for Chicago-based interior design firm, Avenir Creative, in addition to freelance reporting and fact-checking for several publications.
