I am looking for my next challenge in the dynamic area of Corporate Communications or Internal Communications. I am especially interested in healthcare, mobility and personal finance for People of Color. I created IN THE BLACK (a daily financial segment for People of Color) when I was at The Black News Channel. The segment did very well, but the network suddenly declared bankruptcy and many of us were stranded in Florida. I quickly moved to Atlanta to become a Staff Writer at CNN, the world's leading news network. I created stories that inform and engage a global audience. With over two decades of journalism experience, I have covered every type of story under every type of condition, from conflict zones to snow storms. I have a journalism degree from The George Washington University and I attended the American University in Paris for two years, where I learned French and developed a cross-cultural perspective. I am passionate about taking complex information and turning it into clear and compelling stories that can be easily understood by diverse viewers. I thrive under pressure and provide calm leadership during news emergencies. I enjoy mentoring the next generation of journalists and sharing my expertise in new media and web content.
