I started my career in the telecoms media industry in 1991 when I joined Telecommunications International magazine. I followed this with stints on Middle East Communications and EMAP's Communications International before joining IBC Informa 1998 to become Editorial Director of Mobile Communications International (titles of B2B magazines at the time were somewhat lacking in imagination...)In 2001, I co-founded Decisive Media Ltd and TelecomTV - one of the pioneers of online video. In 2008 I wrote and directed the “Mobile Planet” feature-length documentary film (which came with a rather splendid coffee table book), followed by “Green Planet: ICTs for a Low Carbon Society” documentary series and the “Connected States of America” online video series in 2011.You learn a lot in 20+ years... TelecomTV has transformed from on-site video interviews streaming at 56kbit/s to a global virtual production centre that powers the TTV Summit series and numerous programmes and online events for our partners. We also have our in-person VIP events - DSP Leaders World Forum and the Great Telco Debate.We've run show-floor studios for ITU Telecom and MWC and had the privilege of interviewing and debating with so many amazing people from the telecoms industry.
