Claim your profileA versatile, experienced broadcaster, Hector has worked as a TV Sports Journalist for more than two decades since graduating from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications. He was most recently the Sports Director for Sports2Nite, serving as the News/Sports Director and main Sports Anchor for the Sports2Nite TV franchise, overseeing and managing 20-plus employees in producing three live 30-minute daily sportscasts (5:30p, 10p, 10:30p) in San Antonio. The 10:30 sportscast also aired in the Corpus Christi, TX TV market and the Sunday 10:30 show aired in Austin as well as in SA and Corpus and was, thus branded, Big State Sports.In 2016, Hector launched a San Antonio first with "The Ticket Live," a two-hour sports show weekly simulcast on TV, radio and online. Previously, Hector hosted "Halftime Sports with Hector Ledesma" on ESPN SA radio. He also worked live game broadcasts; Play-by-Play for the Texas Sports Radio Network online and Color Analyst and Sideline Reporter on TV for The CW 35. Since 2001, Hector has worked as a TV Sports Anchor and Reporter for KLST (San Angelo, TX CBS), KYTX (Tyler, TX CBS), KABB (San Antonio, TX Fox), WOAI (San Antonio NBC) and Quarter Moon Productions, where he anchors Sports2Nite Sports Briefs while also serving as Director of Digital Content for sports2nite.com. While at QMP, Hector has also anchored halftime and post-game shows as well as served as Sideline Reporter for live TV game broadcasts; produced & anchored News & Sports Briefs and hosted Sports Weekly on KCWX TV. He's also produced The Express News' SA Sports Nation TV show.Hector won First Place by the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters for Best TV Sports Story two years in a row (2012-2013 and 2011-2012). He has since and has previously been honored by the TAPB and in 2007 he won a Lone Star Award for Best TV Sports Feature from the Houston Press Club. Hector has also been nominated for multiple Emmys in previous years.
