Claim your profileI've created a women's basketball newsroom that both breaks news consistently and has been a training ground for a diverse, talented crew of writers, editors and podcasters. I've created a must-read women's sports newsletter, covering six different women's sports, that has served as a pipeline for young, diverse talent in the industry as well. I've written about virtually every major sport at the professional and collegiate levels for outlets such as USA Today, The New York Times, The Athletic, Sports Illustrated and many others. I've covered MLB extensively, from spring training through the postseason, including multiple World Series. I’ve covered the NFL for years, for USA Today and Forbes. I've covered the NBA and MLS for various outlets as well.I’ve published seven books: The Baseball Talmud, a history of Jewish baseball players (HarperCollins, 2009), Taking the Field, a satirical effort to run for general manager of the New York Mets (Bloomsbury, 2011), Wilpon's Folly, a deep dive into the legal and financial problems of Mets ownership (Bloomsbury, 2011), The Cardinals Way (St. Martin's Press, 2016), 50 Trailblazers of the 50 States (Wide Eyed Editions, 2019, an updated edition of The Baseball Talmud (Triumph Books, 2023) and the forthcoming Rare Gems: How Four Generations of Women Paved the Way for the WNBA (Triumph Books, 2024).
