Claim your profileIn the summer of 2016, I started a News Reporter internship at Gannett, through The Daily Times in Bethany Beach, Delaware. I graduated from the University of Delaware that summer and got my first job in the death throes of The Asbury Park Press in NJ. The design studio, which hired page designers and editors, closed six months after I was hired. I then spent time as a reporter at the Kent County News in Chestertown, Md., where I covered the county government beat, along with a local municipality. In 2018, I moved on to the larger paper at APG Media - our parent company - The Star Democrat. There I covered state legislators at the Maryland General Assembly, along with reporting locally in Easton, Md. I left The Star Democrat in May 2019 to cover national subjects and issues through Courthouse News Service. I’ve covered hearings on national issues such as scientific censorship in federal agencies, humanitarian issues at America’s southwestern border and House votes on specific resolutions. I also attended U.S. Supreme Court arguments, wrote stories on those opinions and interviewed Senate and House lawmakers on a daily basis. After two impeachment processes and more than two years reporting on Congress, the Senate and the U.S. Supreme Court I've joined Law360 where I focus on the revolving door between private practice and public service, the business of law and other social aspects of the legal industry for Law360's new Pulse newsletter. I also have experience freelance writing for various magazines including Outdoor Delaware, Beach Life Magazine, and Xtra Magazine. While freelancing is something that has taken a backseat to my career, I am still interested in freelancing opportunities as they present themselves.
