Claim your profileI'm a highly experienced tv and radio broadcaster and a former newspaper journalist. My main role involves reporting for BBC Scotland's news and current affairs programmes - principally Reporting Scotland on BBC1 Scotland and the main sequence programmes on BBC Radio Scotland. I also contribute regularly to BBC News Online and network tv and radio programmes. Over the years I have been a specialist in a number of areas - business, local government and education. I also have experience of reporting from both Westminster and Holyrood.As well as straight reporting, my job involves providing high level policy analysis. I contribute to network programmes from time to time including BBC1 Breakfast, Today on Radio 4 and Politics Live on BBC2. It really is a wonderful job - taking difficult, serious issues and making them interesting, accessible and relevant to a wide, diverse audience. It's a thought provoking and highly responsible role.I've held several other significant jobs at BBC Scotland over the years. I've produced and output tv news programmes and occasionally presented the short tv news bulletins. I've also been presented tv party conference coverage and for many years was one of the business presenters on Good Morning Scotland.
