Claim your profileJamie Rich is the founder and editor in chief of Flamingo, Florida's only statewide lifestyle magazine. Flamingo is women-owned and operated and its mission is to unify Florida's diverse cultures and vast landscapes through in-depth journalism, rich storytelling and brilliant photography, creating the go-to destination for Florida's most compelling stories, and inspiring readers to go out and experience the land, waterways, food, arts, culture and people of Florida. Before launching Flamingo in March 2016, Rich worked as a feature writer, journalist and photographer covering travel and culture. Her articles and photographs have appeared in national and international publications such as The Washington Post, Washingtonian, The New York Times and Slate. She holds a master’s in journalism from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s in creative writing from Florida State University. Rich grew up in North Carolina and South Florida. She spent many years living and working abroad, in Moscow, London and Douala, Cameroon. Today, Rich lives in Ponte Vedra Beach with her husband and two daughters. When she's not looking for the next great Flamingo cover story, you can find her on the beach watching her daughters surf and tumble.
