I'm a multi-platform editor with a passion for providing news coverage in a fair, smart and accurate way, as well as a collaborator and a generator of story ideas. As an editor, I'm calm and careful and accustomed to working on tight deadlines to strengthen copy and presentation. I have deep experience in editing daily digital and print news, magazine stories, projects, white papers and even an e-book. I'm a highly organized and decisive manager able to motivate and energize a staff as well as enforce adherence to deadlines and high standards. Some evidence for that is my award for staff excellence while at CQ Roll Call, nominated by my peers. I also offer a deep understanding of Congress, the executive branch and the courts and veteran first-hand experience covering all three as a longtime reporter. I have a strong background in state and community news as well. And I've hosted a podcast carried on NPR One.
