Jeremy Benson

Jeremy Benson transplanted to the Lake Tahoe area shortly after graduating from Saint Michaels College in northern Vermont. Formerly a sponsored ski athlete, he splits his time between the complementary sports of backcountry skiing and mountain biking. His pursuit of both has taken him on adventures throughout the western United States and around the world. In winter, you can find him exploring the endless mountains of the Sierra Nevada throughout California on skis. In the warmer months, he trades the skin track for the singletrack and can be found obsessively mountain biking the amazing trails in Tahoe and the surrounding areas. He shares his passion for the outdoors and the sports he loves through his writing, has written for numerous national and local print and Internet media outlets, and is the author of Mountaineers Books titled Mountain Bike: Tahoe, as well as the backcountry skiing guidebook Backcountry Skiing and Snowboarding: California. He currently resides in Truckee, CA with his wife, Heather, where he works as a product tester, writer, and editor for Bikerumor.com.
