Jessica joined CNN in April 2016 as a Correspondent based out of New York City, and moved to Washington in June 2017 to cover the Department of Justice, the FBI, the U.S. Supreme Court and the Trump Administration. She was previously a reporter for WCBS Channel 2 in New York City, and she is an attorney admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. Jessica has more than 20 years of broadcasting experience; she has performed nearly every job in the newsroom, from photographer to editor to producer to anchor/reporter. While serving as Weekend Morning Anchor and weekday reporter at WFSB Channel 3 in Connecticut, Jessica attended the University of Connecticut School of Law. After graduating with honors in 2010, Jessica left the television business to study for the New York and New Jersey bar exams and to practice as an attorney at two New York City law firms. She focused her practice on the defense of product liability, construction and catastrophic injury matters in New York and New Jersey. Jessica decided to return to the journalism field in December 2011 in order to combine her passion for reporting with her legal knowledge and experience. After spending 4 1/2 years at WCBS, Jessica joined CNN as a Correspondent. Jessica Schneider is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, U.S. District Court (Southern District of New York), U.S. District Court (Eastern District of New York), and U.S. District Court (District of New Jersey).
