Claim your profileJimmy Willden is an award-winning songwriter, filmmaker and journalist. He is also the founder and current president of Corpus Christi Songwriters, and the Chief Creative Director and co-owner of Sleight Productions, a multimedia production company. Since releasing his debut album in 1998, Willden has recorded six solo albums, two EP's, toured all over the US, and has had his music on the soundtracks of movies and TV shows, including MTV's Next. He has written countless stories and screenplays. Since 2004, Willden has written, directed, or produced 24 films, many of which garnering awards and critical acclaim. Since 2011, Willden has worked tirelessly in the world of journalism. After starting a freelancer at the Corpus Christi Caller-Times and AMFM Magazine, he has been a full-time reporter for Alice-Echo News and Nueces Record Star, a columnist for The Bend Magazine, And further freelance reporting at several other publications throughout Texas. As founder and president of Corpus Christi Songwriters, since its inception in January of 2014, Willden has worked with the board to establish a songwriters association, which focuses on promoting, fostering, and enhancing original music in the Coastal Bend. Since 2018, Corpus Christi Songwriters has successfully organized and put on an annual songwriters festival, recurring every February. Most recently, Willden has partnered with a few fellow filmmakers to launch Sleight Productions, a multimedia production company focusing on commercial and creative projects, including branded content, music videos, and promotional content.
