Claim your profileJoanna Plucinska is a Polish-Canadian journalist, currently reporting on travel and airlines in Europe for Reuters. For over a decade, she has covered everything from business, conflict, elections and public policy, including Russia's invasion of Ukraine, sustainability in aviation, cryptocurrencies in eastern Europe and COVID-19. While she most frequently writes her stories, she's also taken photos, recorded audio and shot video from her assignments spanning over a dozen countries. She graduated from the Columbia Journalism School in May of 2014, where she was recognized as the "Student of the Year" for her class. Before moving to New York, she received a B.A.H. in Political Studies with distinction from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. She speaks three languages fluently: Polish, French, and English and knows some Russian, Ukrainian and Spanish.
