Claim your profileAs the Islamic State stormed across Iraq and Syria, I left my career in the film and TV industry to tell the story of communities affected by its destruction. Thus began the most fulfilling chapter of my life. Since then, I’ve worked as an international journalist for The Washington Post, completed my master’s degree in Foreign Affairs Journalism from Northwestern, traveled each year to the Middle East, and published hundreds of stories and photos.
