Within her first three months at the station, she has covered a the passage of controversial housing plan, historic flooding, and the mayoral election. From 2021-2023, Joey was a reporter at KETV, the ABC affiliate in Omaha, NE. She began as a general assignment reporter, covering primarily education, and was promoted to investigative reporter after one year. KETV is the #1 rated ABC affiliate among top 100 markets. Joey graduated with honors from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in June 2021. She triple-majored in journalism, political science and international studies. While at NU, she was news director and anchor for the Northwestern News Network, and took home five Chicago/Midwest student Emmy awards.
