Jordan Williams is a legislative reporter for Politico, where she follows the latest federal legislation across six policy topics: defense, employment, education, tax, trade and financial services. Prior to POLITICO, Williams worked as a Defense reporter for The Hill, where she focused on how Washington tackled defense policy and veterans' issues. She was promoted to this role from a breaking news position, where she covered all things politics and policy. Before joining The Hill, she was a reporter for FDAnews' Drug Industry Daily, where she covered all things FDA and pharmaceutical industry, including drug approvals and key legislative actions on Capitol Hill. Williams is a graduate of the University of Arizona, where she obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Journalism cum laude. While at the University of Arizona, she was a Don Bolles Fellow covering the Arizona legislature and a reporting Apprentice at the Arizona Daily Star. She previously served as a reporting intern at The Cancer Letter, where she covered cancer research policy.
