Claim your profileI'm a journalist with a particular interest in reporting enterprise stories focused on issues of gender, inequity, and the human impacts of policy decisions. Currently, I work as a news and engagement writer at Mother Jones, where I have focused my recent reporting on the impacts of the Trump administration's dismantling of the federal government. My scoops have illuminated attacks on diversity at the NIH, the gutting of the Division of Reproductive Health at the CDC, the slashing of millions of dollars in federal grants to support women workers, and the radicalization of a DOGE worker by a Holocaust denier. Recently, one of my scoops led the Department of Justice to restore a previously cancelled grant, worth a half million dollars, to support survivors of domestic violence. Previously, I was a breaking news reporter at NBC News Digital, or nbcnews.com. I've also written for The Washington Post, The New York Times and the Guardian, among other publications. I have been awarded fellowships from the USC Annenberg School's Center for Health Journalism, the National Press Foundation, and the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford.
