About

News is about people. In the last three years as a journalism student at Michigan State, I have tried to capture just that: the voice of the people. Working as a multi-media journalist at HOMTV taught me the patience and hard work needed to succeed as a starting reporter. From the field, to the editing bay, to the anchor desk, I learned how to complete a story from start to finish. Interning at WJBK in Detroit is gave me the opportunity to see how a major-market newsroom operates. Shadowing reporters I grew up watching only reinforced my dreams to become a journalist and my passion for hard news. That passion lead me to my current internship at WJRT in Flint. There, I have been able to be very hands on in the creation of stories.
