I have covered some of the nation's biggest stories including high profile police abuse cases, contentious presidential elections, western wildfires and Hurricane Katrina. In 2016, I was part of the Baltimore Sun team named Pulitzer Prize finalists for breaking news coverage of the Freddie Gray case and Baltimore riots. I also contributed to and had a short cameo in the initial season of the popular "Serial" podcast, which revisited the conviction of a high school student in the killing of his ex-girlfriend. I grew up in Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado and Columbine High School.
