Claim your profileI've wanted to be a reporter since I was an eight-year-old girl reading the paper to my grandma. I went on to work for that paper, The Vindicator, Youngstown, Ohio's daily newspaper, for five years. I spent most of my time at The Vindicator as the business reporter covering new small businesses, major economic development and how the top employers were performing. Much of my work focused on General Motors, one of the largest employers in the Mahoning Valley at the time. I'm now obtaining a master's degree in journalism from Michigan State University while working full time as an automotive reporter for The Detroit News. I believe in the importance of journalism and I'm dedicated to making sure it survives. I'm experienced at business reporting, feature writing and watchdog journalism. I know how to shoot and edit video, take photos and live tweet. I create engaging content that keeps people reading.
