Claim your profileI've worked for RTÉ News as a presenter and multimedia journalist for more than ten years, in both television and radio. I am a regular anchor of the 6:1 & 9 o'clock weekend television news programmes. I have also worked on RTÉ's flagship radio programmes, Morning Ireland and The News at One.Throughout my time with RTÉ, I have reported on a broad range of stories, both domestic and foreign. These have included assignments abroad to report and also plan RTÉ's coverage of significant news events including the death of Nelson Mandela in South Africa, the funeral of the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, the marriage of Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the World Cup in South Africa and the MTV Awards.I have also covered a number of General Elections as a live insert reporter on RTÉ's special election programme, Campaign Daily. During my time as a member of RTÉ's Oireachtas Unit, I contributed to The Week in Politics programme and I have also covered parliamentary politics in the Dail, the Seanad as well as presenting RTÉ's European Parliament programme from Strasbourg.Before joining RTÉ I worked extensively in the UK and contributed to various news outlets including the BBC and ITN. I also worked full-time for Virgin Radio and The Capital Radio Group.I am a graduate of The London College of Communication.
