Claim your profileKathleen is a multimedia journalist who most recently worked for the Windsor Star, a daily newspaper based in Windsor, Ont. She joined the staff at the Star following two years at the Woodstock Sentinel-Review, a community daily near London, Ont. She completed her Bachelors of Journalism (Honours), with a minor in English literature at Carleton University in 2016.In her last year of school she was the co-news editor of the Charlatan, Carleton’s independent student weekly, and interned at publications across Canada, including the National Post and the Winnipeg Free Press. She has also worked in administration and strategic communications, including at Health Canada in First Nations and Inuit Health. During her time at Health Canada, she developed social media material and media tools for department use and worked on an ongoing project developing educational tools for northern dental care professionals. At school, Kathleen developed a focus on print and web reporting, while developing her multimedia skills to enhance stories. Her interests include political journalism, social affairs reporting, and photography.In 2014, Kathleen spent a month in Istanbul, where she reported on youth activism in the wake of the Gezi Park protests of 2013.
