In 2016, she graduated from Southeastern University with a B.A. in Public Relations and Journalism, and a concentration in law and theology. Kaylee has a strong background in local journalism, newsletter journalism, community journalism, alert messaging, and CRM and user journeys. Starting off as a City Editor in 2018, she created content for 6AM City's platforms by pitching, producing, writing, and editing stories in Lakeland, FL. In 2021, Kaylee was promoted to Senior Editor, where she managed six newsletter markets and additional editorial operations, launched a successful feedback process, resulting in open rates of over 30%, and assisted in the launch of 17 new markets. Later in 2021, Kaylee was promoted to Managing Editor, where she managed a team of 17 editors for a daily newsletter platform, across seven cities in the US, lead editorial team members in the creation of six monthly content calendars and the creation, resulting in 150+ pieces of lead content per month. In 2023, Kaylee joined Fox News as the Newsletter/Alerts Editor and a year later was promoted to Assistant Manager, CRM. Kaylee transitioned to the Culture/Media team as an Editor, where she currently edits, pitches and creates content surrounding stories that effect and shape culture. Kaylee was also the Communications Specialist and Graphic Designer for the Women's Resource Center (the oldest domestic violence center in the Commonwealth of Virginia) from 2016-2018, where she shared the stories of survivors and rebranded the creative cornerstone of the nonprofit. Kaylee has also created content for nationally-acclaimed podcast, Florida Men on Florida Man and has worked with the Red Tent Initiative — where she increased the nonprofit's social media footprint by growing its audience tenfold.
