Claim your profileGreetings. I'm Kelly -Anne Riess (pronounced Reese, like Reese's Pieces). And I tell stories for a living in print and on film. In 2021, I founded The Flatlander, an independent journalism project that covers important issues impacting Saskatchewan and Manitoba. I also own a film company that has made documentaries and video projects for CBC, Bell MTS, the Maryland Zoo, Concordia University, the Assiniboine Park Zoo, Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the United States Test Pilot School. As a journalist, I have written more than 3,000 articles for major Canadian newspapers and magazines, including the Globe and Mail, Canadian Geographic and Chatelaine. I've also published three books, I Love Saskatchewan, To End a Conversation, and the Saskatchewan Book of Everything. I recently worked as an editor on The Literary History of Saskatchewan, Volume 3.
