Bronson worked 18 years at the Los Angeles Times — as an editor in sports, graphic designer and entertainment writer and editor. After his departure from The Times in 2008, Bronson launched BUZZ BANDS LA, a website that offers news, reviews and interviews, focusing on emerging artists. He hosts two radio shows — a local music show on Sunday nights on KCSN (88.5 FM) and a weekly Internet show on TheIndependent.FM — and has dabbled in show promotion and club DJing. As a music journalist, he has freelanced for The Times, LA Weekly, SPIN.com and SXSWorld magazine, among other publications. His collection of press badges includes the Coachella, Detour, Lollapalooza, FYF and SXSW festivals, as well as the Warped Tour. In 2010, Buzz Bands LA was chosen to curate the annual KCRW-sponsored Also I Like to Rock series at the Hammer Museum. A native of Peoria, Ill., Bronson is a graduate of Bradley University. He’s never played a note of music, has been known to pogo and is older than most music bloggers.
