I am writing an article examining the conversation around midlife wellness online, specifically how perimenopause and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) have become central topics in women’s health conversations. I am looking to interview board-certified OB/GYNs, menopause specialists (MSCP), reproductive endocrinologists, reproductive psychiatrists, bioethicists, and DTC healthtech leaders to discuss: - the evasive nature of perimenopause diagnosis; - using HRT for longevity purposes instead of focusing on symptomatic relief; - the ethics of telehealth startups and the moral grey area of over-prescribing and lax screening. Specific questions: 1. How is a woman diagnosed with perimenopause, given that common issues like bloating, mood swings, and trouble sleeping are among the often-cited symptoms? 2. What is your perspective on the current debate surrounding HRT for anti-aging/longevity versus strict symptom management? Requirements / Credentials: Accepted: MDs or DOs (OB/GYNs, endocrinologists, internal medicine, psychiatrists), Menopause Society Certified Practitioners (MSCP), medical ethicists, or medical directors/founders at midlife telehealth companies. Not Accepted: PR reps pitching wellness coaches, unaccredited influencers, supplement founders, or non-clinical "hormone experts."
