Claim your profileThe media has a bad reputation, and I am passionate about doing my part to change that. I've worked in print and digital media and absolutely love journalism.I'm an editor for Axios Local, overseeing all content (daily newsletters and web stories) in several of our markets. I've worked with teams in Houston, Dallas, Austin, Columbus and Cleveland. Currently editing teams in Chicago and Indianapolis.Prior to joining Axios, I was the digital editor for health and education at WFYI. The newly created position was part of an ongoing effort to expand the NPR-affiliated news organization's online presence and news coverage. Before that, I worked for the Indianapolis Business Journal for six years. Initially, I reported on the northern suburbs and then I transitioned to covering state government and politics. I created and wrote the award-winning Rundown newsletter and helped IBJ become known as a go-to source for political news.I also wrote about philanthropy for IBJ, or as I usually described it, the business of nonprofits.Outside of my professional career, I occasionally write on my personal blog about how life has changed for me since my left hand was amputated after a car accident in 2009.
