Claim your profileMy passion for journalism began my sophomore year in high school when I wrote for the Braddock Times. By the middle of my senior year I was working for the Miami Herald as a sports clerk. I was hired as the Miami-Dade County High School beat writer in 2000 while also covering FIU's first football season. I was put on the University of Miami beat in 2005. I've covered the Marlins since about 2008. I won a Top 10 APSE award for Investigative Journalism. I've covered every major sporting event in this country -- The World Series, Super Bowls, the Final Four, College Football National championships. Well, except the College World Series. Still need to cross that one off my list. I also dabble in radio with a number of appearances not only locally, but nationally. Like Dan LeBatard once told me, "we're stealing money with this job”
