Claim your profileThe best stories are true stories. It's something I learned the summer after graduating college, when a fellowship project spurred me to take a much closer look a hundred-year-old mystery. As I waded through newspaper articles, decades-old maps and other archival materials trying to follow the winding paths of three World War I-era spies, I got bit by the nonfiction bug. There was no going back. In the years since, I've dedicated my work to telling true stories at daily newspapers throughout the Mountain West. Especially as I approach data-driven or policy-heavy stories, my goal is always to accurately incorporate the human experiences, emotions and impulses that make real life — and nonfiction — so great. To learn more about me or to get in touch, visit my website at margaretohara.com.
