Marie Carter-Robb is a UK journalist, editor, conservationist and animal welfare campaigner based in the rural north of England. She is the editor of Pets Magazine (petsmag.co.uk), a leading independent digital publication for people who care deeply about animals, wildlife and ethical pet ownership, and founder of the national Save Our Reds (saveourreds.uk) campaign. Marie's journalism and commentary have appeared in many national and international titles including The Guardian, The Independent, HuffPost, the London Evening Standard and Sky News, and across BBC platforms including the World Service and Radio 2's Simon Mayo Show, covering conservation, wildlife protection and companion animal welfare. Her grassroots Save Our Reds campaign has gained national attention for highlighting the rapid decline of Britain's native red squirrels and calling for urgent habitat protection and stronger conservation policy. The campaign has grown into a registered CIC and national movement, supported by over 80,000 people, with its own conservation policy framework, app and growing network of supporters and partners. Alongside her editorial and campaigning work, Marie hosts The Pets Mag Podcast, interviewing public figures, campaigners, vets, authors and experts from across the animal welfare and conservation world, with guests including Peter Egan and Lady Colin Campbell. She is also the author of Little Red: Warrior Squirrel, the first in a series of children's books inspired by Britain's red squirrels and the wider fight to protect them, published through North Pennines Press.
