Mark was formerly digital content editor for PRX's "To The Best Of Our Knowledge", a nationally-syndicated radio program that explores ideas and culture. There, he helped produce a Peabody award-winning podcast. He also recorded a bee hive, road a bike towed by sled dogs, and took host Anne Strainchamps on a virtual tour of his Animal Crossing island. Mark has a background in arts and entertainment journalism, science communication, and web production. He has written for publications such as The A.V. Club, HuffPost Code, and Isthmus, covering topics ranging from film festivals and DIY music venues to steampunk conventions and virtual reality. He has also translated complex research topics in engineering and economics into accessible and compelling stories for academic, public, and policymaking audiences. Mark is proficient in shooting and editing photos and video, and constantly explores new media tools and platforms to create and share engaging content.
