I am a dedicated and innovative leader with a profound commitment to supporting survivors of trauma, sexual violence and intimate partner abuse. With a unique blend of frontline experience, strategic leadership, and policy development expertise, I have spent my career advocating for trauma-informed care and systemic change. As Head of Services at Survivors UK, I have led groundbreaking initiatives, including the development of the organisation’s first trauma-informed framework. My work is deeply personal, grounded in a belief in the transformative power of healing and informed by my experience as an Accredited ISVA, counsellor, and safeguarding professional. I have led pioneering initiatives in trauma-informed care, including, delivery training to police officers undertaking SOIT (Sexual Offences Investigative Team) training and new cadets on responding to sexual violence. As the Founder and CEO of Nova & Root, I lead a consultancy and training practice dedicated to transforming how organisations understand, respond to, and support people affected by trauma. My work is rooted in years of frontline experience, strategic leadership, and deep commitment to creating systems where survivors are met with dignity, compassion, and genuine understanding. I specialise in trauma-informed frameworks, organisational culture change, and developing professional practice that bridges the gap between lived experience and service delivery. My focus is on helping teams, leaders, and institutions build environments where both survivors and staff can feel safer, more supported, and better equipped to create lasting change.
