Claim your profileI am an award-winning editorial director, head of digital, audience strategist, brand lead and workflow consultant based in London, with 23 years’ experience up to executive leadership level across editorial, commercial and customer projects on digital, print and event formats, including multiple successful launches, restructures, redesigns, special projects and transformations. Most recently I was Director of Audience Development and Content Strategy at Hearst UK, leading the central SEO, social, newsletter and platform partnerships teams to direct and support our award-winning brands on their full-funnel, customer-first content and engagement strategies. We partnered with our 16 brands including Good Housekeeping, and the luxury (ELLE, Esquire, Harper's Bazaar, ELLE Decoration), health and wellness (Men's Health, Women's Health, Runner's World), homes (House Beautiful, Country Living), women’s lifestyle (Cosmopolitan, Red, Prima), and entertainment (Digital Spy, Best, Inside Soap) portfolios.I was previously both Digital Development Director and Group Digital Strategy Director for Hearst, with a focus on digital acceleration and best practice, resulting in record-breaking cross-brand growth in traffic and digital revenues. I founded the business’s first e-commerce operation, managed the portfolio's digital-first brands (Digital Spy, Delish and NetDoctor) and grew additional responsibility for PDE, digital design and video production. Before working cross-company I led multiple brands to success. I was Editor-in-Chief of Digital Spy, the UK's biggest entertainment website, winning Campaign Consumer Media Brand of the Year, BSME Digital Editor of the Year and PPA Digital Content Team of the Year two years in a row. I was also Editor of Future’s global consumer technology title T3, where we became the company’s first brand to win two PPA awards in one year, held the largest T3 Awards with almost a million votes, set a record print circulation and topped Apple's app charts.Other editorial highlights include Deputy Editor at Britain’s biggest men’s pioneering freemium magazine ShortList, where I was on the launch team that won BSME and IPA Launch of the Year, and running production desks at men’s style monthly ARENA, teaching institution The Times Educational Supplement and design weekly The Architects’ Journal. I have also written and edited for a variety of other publications including The Guardian, The Sunday Times and Wired.
