Claim your profileI'm a reporter with the Canadian Press, based in Montreal and covering all things Quebec. I was previously a political reporter for POLITICO, based in Ottawa, where I co-authored the Ottawa Playbook newsletter, wrote features and covered environmental policy. Before that, I covered Indigenous affairs, immigration, the environment, the NDP and the Bloc Québécois for the National Post in Ottawa. Once upon a time, I covered territorial politics, energy and natural resources for the Yukon News in Whitehorse. I have a Master's degree from the University of British Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism. I've also written for the Globe and Mail, Arctic Deeply, Hazlitt, and the Barents Observer in northern Norway. My academic background is in environmental science, and I have previously worked as an environmental consultant and as a field biologist.
