Maydeen's most recent position was being the Shelter and Outreach Reporter at Street Sense Media located in Washington D.C. Maydeen attended the University of La Verne, CA, obtaining her Bachelors in Journalism. She is a former NCAA DIII basketball and track & field athlete at La Verne. While in California, Maydeen was a reporter at the Mountain News, a community newspaper located in Lake Arrowhead, Ca. During her time at the Mountain News she wrote stories about the effects COVID-19 had on local businesses, local government and the community. She contributed to publications such as NBClx, Scriberr News, the San Dimas Community Post, and the Women's Media Center.
