I am a Multimedia Journalist at Channel 8, KLKN-TV in Lincoln, NE. I am hardworking, dedicated, and detail-oriented. I have experience in writing and editing many of my own stories from breaking news to Nebraska Legislature. Many of the stories I do are completed as day-turn stories. I have learned an incredible amount in my first year of working for Channel 8 and hope to continue to grow!My teamwork skills have grown substantially as I entered a new working environment. I learned the importance of a close-knit newsroom as we work to create the best show possible daily. I know that news stations are centered on both individual and combined efforts, and I feel I can easily work with others and step into newsroom collaboration with coworkers.I'm always staying on top of deadlines and keeping things organized. I love working in challenging positions and thrive in problem-solving environments. Broadcasting careers are often fast-paced and very involved. After taking my first reporting position as a night-side multimedia journalist, I realized how much effort these jobs require. I am willing to put in the time and work it takes to become a talented employee.Since I began working at KLKN-TV, I have only become more sure of my choice to go into the broadcast - news career path. The intricacies and constant evolution that comprises media is something I can see myself doing for the rest of my life. I have always wanted a job that would push me to get better every day, and I think I have found the perfect fit in television news.
