I'm a journalist and writer with a side passion for travel and photography, currently catering to the whims of my cats in central Pennsylvania. I have been in the newspaper industry for more than 20 years and currently work for PennLive.com/The Patriot-News as a social media manager, podcast producer and data journalist. My work has been recognized by the Pennsylvania Associated Press Media Editors, National Press Photographers Association, Society of News Design and Alabama Associated Press Managing Editors. In addition to journalism, I work in comics. Through my partnership with artist Isabelle Melancon, we have produced the webcomic Namesake, the Valor fairy tale anthology series, and several other short works. My freelance work includes ecommerce management for comic artists and podcast/audiobook editing. I also have a few hundred plush crows living in my basement. I am a skilled multi-tasker and well-versed as an editor, social media manager, reporter, copy editor, and designer. I can handle both digital production and print production with ease, including long-term project management. I also design books, create databases, and write comics. I am a photographer, videographer and audio producer. If anyone asks me to do something, I figure out a way to do it.
