Claim your profileI am a Houston, Texas-native working as a news reporter/multimedia journalist & fill-in anchor in San Antonio at KENS 5. I joined the team in June of 2023. Previously, I was a morning anchor in Huntsville, Alabama at WAAY 31. I spent nearly four years at WAAY 31. Within my first two years at the station, I launched the Saturday morning show, was promoted to anchor the weekend evening newscasts, and promoted again to anchor the weekday morning newscasts. During my time in Alabama, I was nominated for a regional Emmy for a 30 minute special on child abuse. I worked alongside just one other co-worker to produce, write, shoot, edit and narrate the special highlighting the National Children's Advocacy Center. That same special won an Alabama Broadcasters Association Award. I started my career in Lubbock, Texas while studying dance and journalism at Texas Tech University. There, I worked my way up from an associate producer to a weekend anchor/reporter within my three years at FOX 34. I would describe myself as a team player and a versatile journalist. I am willing to do what it takes to help my newsroom deliver honest and quality journalism. I have a passion for both storytelling and breaking news.
