I'm passionate about raising the voices of those who need to be heard. Journalism is more and more a synonymous of entertainment but our work should be making interesting what is important. I believe in the human side angle to uncover the greatness and miseries of our time. We need to challenge the establishment from a well informed point of view, not with conspiracy theories. I'm always willing to go the extra mile in search for the truth, to leave the comfort of my home to be where the story is and to listen the humble people in need who often teach us the most. I speak my mind and I'm willing to stand up for my principles.I have covered some of the most challenging events of our time, from guerrilla wars in Mexico and Central America to Sept. 11 to the Iraq war, as well as many elections. Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans or the earthquake in Haiti are just some examples of natural disasters where media coverage brought a wave of solidarity. I'm proud of having being part of that too.
