Over ten years experience creating and editing content in news, sports, politics, fitness, and entertainment. Founder, host and producer of the Irish American podcast, The Long Hall Podcast and its news website The Long Hall Podcast.com. I contributed to The Hill during the 2016 US Presidential Election and produce freelance video, audio and photographic content. My website: www.michaeldorgan.com serves as a portfolio for some of my work. Co-Owner & Business Development Manager - Laura Dorgan Fitness My wife Laura is a fitness instructor and together we branded, created and developed social media and marketing strategies to grow the brand and business. I designed lauradorganfitness.com in addition to producing regular video and photographic content across all our digital platforms. In 2017 we developed the “Laura Dorgan Fitness App”, which allows users to train with Laura at any time or any place, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The app has over 400 video demonstrations with voiceovers showing users how to perform each exercise safely and effectively - ensuring clients get the most from their workouts. The app has seen tremendous growth driven largely by the targeted use of social media platforms (Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook). We are constantly developing and updating the platform and with the help of a local GP, launched a pregnancy feature focusing on exercises for mothers-to-be. As an Irish immigrant, naturally I have become engaged in the Irish-American community in New York and have attended some of the fantastic networking events being held in the city. Meeting people from The Irish-American Partnership has been a real eye-opener learning about the tremendous work they do in supporting educational initiatives and community development programs in Ireland.
