In September 2015 I completed my first 100-mile bike ride—a "century" in cycling terms. I began the charity event with a group of friends, which I prefer (we are better together), but I ended up riding solo through the cold rain as my friends, who are usually far superior riders, eventually had to drop.My resume shows that I am a writer, editor, and champion of developing transformational community, but those who know me best would describe my heart: a servant leader of strong faith who perseveres and keeps going through a variety of challenges. In April 2017, I accepted the position as the 12th editor of Christian Standard magazine, which started in 1866. I continue to operate Small Group Leadership, LLC, equipping ordinary people to courageously lead extraordinary small groups.
