I have always been drawn to storytelling and relaying individual experiences in an impactful way. I believe that sharing unique perspectives allows people to understand one another, and has the ability to unite groups and encourage commonality where there was once a divide. This is the sentiment I brought with me after graduating from Carleton University's School of Journalism and Communication, and starting my career as a writer, journalist, and editor. After working professionally in Program Coordination, Social Media, and Marketing while completing my degree, I was prepared to jump into pursuing my long-time dream of storytelling. This dream came to fruition through working with amazing publications, such as [EDIT] Media and Flanelle Magazine. Through working as an editor I was able to gain experience in every aspect of the publishing industry, and solidify my passion. After deciding to jump headfirst into an exciting adventure, with a move across the country, I was given the opportunity to work at Narcity Media. While simultaneously exploring my new home in Vancouver, I helped others fall in love with it too. Now as the Travel Editor, I am working within the growing company to break exclusive stories and create creative multimedia content that sets our storytelling apart.
