I'm a reporter for The New York Times in Jeruslaem. In ’23-’24, our investigations uncovered critical truths about pivotal events, including the atrocities of the Hamas-led Oct. 7 attack, the army’s response, Hamas’s wartime tactics, the settler movement, how Israel loosened its rules to bomb Hamas and more. Previously, I was a producer for NPR, reporting and producing breaking news from Israel and the West Bank and contributing to NPR’s flagship programs. I was part of the team that won the National Press Club Award for our coverage of the October 7 attack by Hamas. Applying my investigative skills to video production, I co-produced the docuseries The State of Jerusalem (2020-2022) with Eiv Kristal for Kan, the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, and Into the Land for The Times of Israel. The State of Jerusalem explored the city’s social, cultural, and political landscape. I am passionate about local journalism. Inspired by local media I read growing up, I co-founded The State of Jerusalem, a digital news site covering the city’s diverse neighborhoods and communities from a local perspective. For three years, I led a team to bring quality journalism to all parts of the city, producing content in Hebrew and Arabic and hosting grassroots events in West and East Jerusalem. Earlier in my career, I contributed to newspapers and magazines in Israel and the US. I wrote investigations for Haaretz and The Forward, and contributed magazine features or weekly columns for Makor Rishon and The Jerusalem Post, Local Call, and more. Born and raised in Jerusalem, I studied Middle Eastern Studies at Brandeis University and hold an MA in the same field from Hebrew University.
